Kim Zimmerman

Kimberly Zimmerman, CYT, APRN— The beautiful, loving spirit of “Kim Z.” comes shining through every time she graces the yoga room with her happy presence. Kim is a ‘people person’ who loves the Lord and has a big heart for giving – spiritually, physically, and materially – in her daily life. Kim brings confidence and sureness with her, making her classes some of the most popular of all our offerings. She is a true perfectionist and is her own harshest critic when teaching her fantastic yoga classes. Her drive for self-improvement has pushed her to become better in every class she leads at Hot Yoga. Kim enjoys music as a pianist and thus relishes the creating of various music profiles to give her students that gentle extra push as they hear everything from Christian contemporary to pop, orchestrated scores, and classic R & B. Kim enrolled in Tony Bishop’s innovative yoga training program in November 2010 after regularly practicing for two years at the studio. She has a strong background in anatomy and physiology as a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She brings that knowledge into class for the benefit of every student. Her diverse background and super positive outlook are expressed best through Kim’s own words: “I believe in living life to the fullest… never losing hope, being passionate, laughing, smiling, and loving others. I began practicing at Hot Yoga Bowling Green years ago when a friend insisted that this type of workout was completely different from anything I had ever experienced. Being healthy has always been important to me, and I was looking for more than just the usual gym routine. After coming to class, I noticed an immediate difference in my flexibility and the mental clarity in my heart and mind. I believe in finding that balance mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically through prayer with God, and finding time to get away to be refreshed and renewed.” Working full time and having four young children to an amazing husband in the ministry, finding time to get away can be difficult. Hot Yoga is what has helped me mentally through life’s challenges along with our precious savior, Jesus. Hot Yoga Bowling Green is like a family to us, and we love the health benefits physically and mentally along with the friendships gained through the years.  Hot Yoga will always have a special place in my heart since it is where I met the love of my life, my forever husband, Cody, while teaching in 2011 at the studio.
