About the Hot Yoga studio
Hot Yoga Bowling Green is a TRUE Hot Yoga studio, with researched systems and employing proven techniques with an educated and very supportive staff, so that you can have a great, unforgettable experience in Hot Yoga. As you try many types of exercise and yoga programs, be aware that some offerings at various locations throughout the U.S. may simply attempt using a poorly-heated room, unsanitary environment, and untrained “teachers” to present themselves as “hot” yoga. These programs can possibly be unsafe, with improper floors and improper pacing or posturing for a heated class. At Hot Yoga Bowling Green, our twelve primary instructors are certified and then are trained with our director, who has more than 2,500 hours of yoga teaching experience in the heated environment. Everyone on staff at Hot Yoga BG has received more than 100 classes of experience taking and then verbalizing the series before assuming the responsibilities of teaching your class! You can rest assured that your teacher is not a “Johnny-come-lately” who simply walked into the studio and began teaching. Our teachers are exemplary… with the knowledge to really lead your yoga class. They are deeply dedicated, truly love their students and have proven their skills, compassion, and passion for Hot Yoga by giving of themselves and their love for the practice! Most of our instructors have very diverse backgrounds in a great variety of styles of yoga as well, so you can be assured of an awesome class every time!

Studio Etiquette & Tips
We appreciate your commitment to maintaining a clean, respectful, and focused environment at our studio. To ensure everyone’s comfort and well-being, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following studio rules:
STUDIO
Timely Arrival and Departure: The studio doors open 25 minutes before class begins. To minimize disruptions, doors will be closed and locked when class starts, with no late entry permitted. The studio closes either 30 minutes after class concludes or when the next class begins, whichever comes first.
MINDBODY APP: If you know your MINDBODY login, please login and sign up for class prior to arrival. This allows us to prepare ahead of time if props such as blocks or straps are being used. If you do not know your MINDBODY login, drop by the front desk, we can send you an email to help you link up and sign in. Please DO NOT create a new MINDBODY login if you are a current student, it will not properly link your membership to a new MINDBODY account. (College & HS students, you are the exception to this rule. Student walk-in pricing is not available online, you will sign in at the studio)
LOCKER ROOM
Respectful Disposal of Towels, Mats, and Hand Towels: Please place borrowed towels, mats, and hand towels in the designated laundry baskets, located by the windows and under the sinks.
Considerate Use of Showers: After showering, please take a moment to wipe out any hair and ensure the cleanliness of the shower area for the next user. Remember to keep showers brief as there may be others waiting.
Thoughtful Toilet Etiquette: If you use the toilets, please be sure to flush them, maintaining a hygienic environment for everyone.
Personal Belongings: Before leaving, gather all your personal belongings to help us maintain a tidy and organized space.
Responsible Use of Locker Rooms: Please leave the locker rooms in a cleaner state than you found them, contributing to a positive experience for everyone. Practice Saucha, cleanliness.
HOT YOGA ROOM
Mat Placement for Excessive Sweat: If you find yourself particularly sweaty after a session, kindly place your mat outside on the sidewalk upon exiting the HOT room. Retrieve it as you leave to avoid tracking extra moisture to the locker rooms.
Clean Yoga Room Practices: Post-class, please exit the room with all items that entered the room with you. Let’s work together to keep our shared space clean and welcoming.
No Phones in the Hot Room: No phones in Hot room, please leave them in your car or in the locker room. We love seeing your sweaty selfies but we have to keep the distractions out of the Hot room.
DURING YOUR PRACTICE IN THE HOT ROOM
Silence in the Yoga Room: The yoga room is a quiet space, and we kindly ask that you refrain from talking to maintain a peaceful environment for everyone.
Exiting During Class: If you need to exit the room during a class, please use the door nearest to you to minimize disruptions. We encourage you to remain in the class to acclimate to the heat. However, if you have a reason to leave class prior to the end, please FYI your instructor prior to class.
Child’s Pose Option: If you find a posture uncomfortable or challenging, feel free to take Child’s Pose. It is always recommended and welcomed as a restorative alternative.
Furthermore, we often have new students in the room who may be unfamiliar with yoga. It is crucial that students practice the posture being taught by the teacher. This serves two important purposes:
Respect for the Instructor: Since we only offer instructor-led classes, the instructors dedicate time and effort to build the class and playlist. Practicing the designated postures is a respectful acknowledgment of their commitment to you and helping to grow your practice.
Minimizing Distractions: Practicing postures other than what are being instructed can cause distractions to those around you and is not fair to their practice. It is essential to maintain a focused environment.
Once again, we always encourage modifications of the posture being presented by the teacher and Child’s Pose. Both are excellent options to ensure a positive and inclusive practice for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and dedication to fostering a harmonious atmosphere within our Hot Yoga community. Your efforts contribute to the overall well-being of our studio, and we look forward to sharing many more transformative practices with you.
